David has a Bachelor of Kinesiology from UNBand over 7 years of personal training experience. He is an expert in weight loss training, is an IYCA Certified Exercise physiologist and certified strength and conditioning specialist and is certified to coach swimming, athletics, and Olympic weightlifting.
David has a lifelong passion for athletics. He had a great athletic career in gymnastics, judo, swimming, and soccer for many provincial teams and junior national teams. David has worked as a varsity strength coach for many sports but specializing in swimming and team field sports. Prior to working at the University of Alberta David was in charge for military testing and physical training in mainland bc.
I get people performing their best by building their confidence. This stems from the evidence that quality of life and performance is improved with self efficacy. After identifying goals I prescribe a program that get you there with maximum efficiency and minimal disruption to daily living and any limitations the person may have.
